SWM invest £1/4million in state of the art Materials Handling Machine

Updated: Apr 11, 2018

SWM & Waste Recycling Ltd. are pleased to announce the purchase of a NEW SENNEBOGEN 830 Scrap Handling Machine at its metals yard in South Molton.

This new machine has greater operating features, lower emissions and more advanced safety features than its’ predecessors, and will assist in managing the growth the site has seen during the past 18 months.

As part of the company’s continuous personal development program, one of SWM’s maintenance team has spent a week in Germany at the Sennebogen Factory, where he learnt more about the machine, general maintenance routines and fault finding.

The purchase of this machine with its additional safety features demonstrates SWM’s ongoing commitment to Health & Safety which views the safety of their people in a holistic way and is championed through their new message of ‘Arrive Safe, Work Safe, Home Safe’

Additionally this investment in market leading equipment reinforces their focus on transforming waste safely and sustainably.

SWM Managing Director, Martin Mogford said “Despite the recent difficult trading conditions and uncertainties surrounding Brexit, we have continued to invest in plant, equipment, infrastructure and our people. We are delighted to have worked with the Molson Group to bring this impressive and technically advanced equipment to South Molton. We are committed to investing in the local area and providing valuable and sustainable work opportunities for local people. Waste management is a growing industry that offers attractive career paths across many different disciplines".
