SWM have invited Plastic Free North Devon to join them on their stand at the North Devon Show.

Plastic Free North Devon is a local charity focused on combating the problem of plastic pollution here in North Devon.  Commenting on the fledgling partnership with SWM, Andy Clee of Plastic Free North Devon said “We are really excited to be working with SWM Recycling by attending this year’s North Devon Show with them. We hope to raise awareness around the issues of plastic waste and suggest practical ways in which single use plastic waste can be reduced and ultimately eradicated, as an added attraction for anyone who wants to bring re-fillable drink bottles on the day we will re-fill them from our free‘water bar’.

Plastic Free North Devon also hope to showcase their virtual reality diving experience to help people learn more about the ocean, and the steps that can be taken to make a difference. Visit them in the SWM Marquee to have a go, also on hand will be one of the Environment Agency's experts on plastic in agriculture who will answer questions on plastic waste and to help you with other waste recycling information will be the SWM team.

SWM Managing Director Martin Mogford added, “ We are delighted to partner with Plastic Free North Devon and to offer helpful advice on responsible waste management. We believe this, together with the attendance of the Environment Agency, is a positive move and will offer benefits for everyone in helping to find cost effective and sustainable solutions for plastic waste. We very much look forward to welcoming people to the SWM Recycling Marquee.”

The North Devon Show will be held at Umberleigh Show ground, EX37 9DX on Wednesday 7thAugust from 8.30am to 6pm.
